Overview

Keepsake Cook (“we”, “us”) provides an AI-assisted recipe organizer. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the service, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Account information — email address, display name, and authentication details when you register or sign in (including via Google OAuth when you choose that option).
• Recipe content — recipes you upload, create, edit, or generate, including images, PDFs, text, ingredients, instructions, and related metadata.
• Usage and technical data — approximate device and browser information, IP address, and product usage events needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.
• Billing information — when you purchase credits or subscriptions, payment is processed by our payment provider. We receive limited transaction metadata (such as purchase status) and do not store full payment card numbers. Refund requests you submit through Help are used to locate and reverse the charge.

How we use information

• Provide, maintain, and improve Keepsake Cook.
• Process uploads and generate recipes using AI providers acting on our behalf.
• Authenticate users, prevent abuse, and secure accounts.
• Process purchases and manage AI credits and subscriptions.
• Respond to support requests you submit through Help & Support.
• Comply with legal obligations.

AI processing

When you upload files or use generation features, content you submit may be sent to third-party AI services to extract recipe text or produce results. We use those providers only to deliver the features you request. Do not upload content you are not authorized to process.

Cookies and authentication

We use cookies and similar technologies for session authentication, security (such as CSRF protection), and remembering preferences like theme. These are necessary for the product to work and are not used for third-party advertising.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data with service providers who help us host the app, process payments, send email, and run AI features, under obligations to protect your data. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users and the service. Recipes you explicitly share with other users are visible according to the sharing options you choose.

Retention

We retain account and recipe data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. Deleted recipes may remain in Trash for a limited recovery window before permanent deletion. You may request account-related assistance via Help & Support.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

• Update profile and settings while signed in.
• Delete recipes or empty Trash within the product.
• Contact us through Help & Support for privacy questions or account requests.

Children

Keepsake Cook is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
